My favorite example of &quot;The Refrigerator Test&quot; spawns from the depths of Tommy Boy. When David Spade&#039;s character decides to pleasure himself to the attractive lady swimming in the hotel pool, the sound designer inserted the sound of a zipper being unzipped. After watching the movie about 3 times, I realized, he was wearing boxers, which have no zipper.
